Do You Need Official Documents From Slovakia?
Slovak Document Acquisition
Slovak Archive Document Acquisition:
Official documents we assist with:
- Birth certificate (Rodny List)
- Marriage certificate (Sobasny List)
- Death certificate (Úmrtný List)
- Czechoslovakian passport - (Only for post-1918 departures, and not all years are available)
- Confirmation of Czechoslovak Nationality based on the 1930 Czechoslovakia Census (You must have the link to the census)
Fees & Payment:
- Service fees are prepaid and non-refundable (consulting clients pay after the document has been collected).
- We make every effort to obtain records, but archives may issue a negative response due to missing, incorrect, lost, or destroyed records.
- If a record cannot be located, we will provide proof of the request and the negative response.
- Document fee: The rates below INCLUDE the cost of one copy. Extra copies start at 7€ each, depending on the document.
Service Fees (per document):
- €75 – per request/document/ancestor
Additional Costs:
- Return Shipping: €80 via DHL
- Shipping can be avoided if using Iveta Červeňaková for translations; documents will be bundled and shipped once translations are completed, and you will pay return shipping only once.

Authorization Form:
- Once we receive your request and begin processing it, you will receive a request for payment, as well as a bilingual authorization form. The authorization form will need to be notarized and apostilled by the state.
- We can begin working on your request with the scanned PDF of the notarized authorization, but you will be required to send it for an apostille and then send us the original apostilled authorization in order for us to collect your Slovak document(s).
- Shipping options for the authorization form will be provided to you when you submit your request.
Processing Time:
- Allow up to 2 weeks for us to begin working on your request.
- Archives have 60 days to respond from the time they receive our request.
- Registry offices may take an additional 30 days to issue the document once they receive the extract from the archive.
- We will contact you once we collect your document or receive a negative response (no news is good news!).
- Please allow 120 days for total processing & collection.
