Due to the increased interest in obtaining CBD, both consular offices are extremely backlogged. As such, applicants have to wait 6+ months for an appointment date. However, you can submit your application in Slovakia much sooner - if you are flexible.

Do not make travel arrangements to Slovakia solely for the purpose of attending an appointment until you have a confirmed booking. The Slovak appointment scheduling system does not allow us to select from a calendar of dates and times; instead, it automatically offers the earliest available appointment. This is frequently within seven (7) days. Accordingly, applicants must be prepared to travel on short notice, with as little as one week’s advance notice.
Appointments in Slovakia typically require attendance over multiple days—generally one appointment on the first day and a second appointment on a different day. You should not expect to complete all submissions in a single day. Travel is required to our current partner offices in Zilina, Banská Bystrica, Košice, and Prešov. We do not service Bratislava or Trnava.
